The Executive Committee’s role is to assist the Chief Executive Officer in the exercise of her duties, responsibility and ownership of operational management (including, but not limited to, day-to-day management). Its members are appointed and discharged by the Board of Directors on proposal of the Chief Executive Officer, after consultation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Dominique Leroy – CEO
Dominique Leroy is the CEO of Proximus.
Joining Belgacom in October 2011 as Vice President Sales for the Consumer Business, Mrs Leroy took over the position of Executive Vice President of the Consumer Business in June 2012, becoming a member of the Executive Committee. In January 2014 she was appointed CEO of the Belgacom Group.
After graduating at the Solvay Business School in 1987 with a degree in Business Engineering, Mrs Leroy started her career at Unilever, where she held positions in marketing, finance, logistics, sales and general management. From September 2007 until October 2011 she was Country Manager and Vice President Customer Development at Unilever Belgium, and member of the Unilever Benelux Board.
In 2013, she received the title of Master Marketeer from StiMa (Stichting Marketing). She also won the Trends Business Woman Award in the CEO category in 2014.
Mrs Leroy is also an independent board member at Lotus Bakeries and Delhaize, and board member of the Proximus subsidiaries Tango, Telindus and BICS. She is very active in Belgium as member of several professional and management associations (e.g. Women on Board, Young Professional Organization, UBA, Guberna).
Born in Brussels in 1964, she is married and mother of two sons (19 and 17 years old). Besides her family and job, she has a passion for music, travelling, modern art and sports (running, cycling, skiing, and mountaineering).
Sandrine Dufour - Chief Financial Officer
Sandrine Dufour is the Chief Financial Officer of Proximus since 1 April 2015.
From 1999 till 2013, Mrs Dufour moved her way up to become Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Director of Innovation within Vivendi, the ex-parent company of SFR, in France and in the USA. As of 2013, she held the position of Executive Vice President Finance & Strategy at SFR. Before joining Vivendi, Mrs Dufour held various positions as financial analyst in France, successively at BNP and Credit Agricole Chevreux, European Telecom sector.
Mrs Dufour holds different financial degrees, from the ESSEC Business School, the Société Française des Analystes Financiers, and the CFA Institute, Chartered Financial Analyst.
Michel Georgis - Chief Human Resources Officer
Michel Georgis is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Proximus. From March 2007 until December 2011, Mr Georgis was the Executive Vice President of the Consumer Business Unit at Belgacom.
As of May 2005 and until the integration in January 2010, Mr Georgis was the CEO of Belgacom Mobile. Prior to this position he was as of January 2004 the Chief Operations Officer at Belgacom Mobile. He joined Belgacom Mobile in January 2000 as Executive Vice President Sales, Marketing & Customer Operations. Mr Georgis started his career in 1977 at Coca-Cola Belgium. In 1991 he joined Interbrew, where he filled different positions before becoming Sales & Marketing Director Central & Eastern Europe.
Mr Georgis is also a member of the Board of Directors of Scarlet, Tango Luxembourg, Wireless Technologies, BICS, the Proximus Foundation and the Proximus Pension Fund.
Mr Georgis holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Leuven.
Dirk Lybaert - Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
Dirk Lybaert is the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Proximus, regrouping the following areas of responsibilities: Group Communications, Legal, Public Affairs, Regulatory, Security Governance, Investigations, Risk Management and Internal Audit.
Mr Lybaert was since 2005 Secretary-General of Belgacom. From 1995 until 2007 he was an assistant at the Law Faculty at the University of Brussels for the course “Name Contracts”. From 2000 to 2005 he held different positions within the Legal department of Belgacom. Prior to Belgacom he was an officer at the Federal Police where he ended as Lieutenant-Colonel, director of the Anti-Terrorism Program.
Mr Lybaert is also a member of the Board at BICS, Proximus Opal and at Bednet.
Mr Lybaert has Master’s degrees in Criminology, Law and Business Law, as well as degrees in Advanced Management and Social and Military Sciences.
Geert Standaert - Chief Technology Officer
Geert Standaert is the Chief Technology Officer of Proximus. In this function, he oversees all IT development, service engineering, technical infrastructure and operations for the group as well as the wholesale activities.
Mr Standaert joined the Belgacom Group in 1994 and held Director positions in various disciplines, including IT, Infrastructure Operations and Data operations before becoming Vice President Customer Operations in 2007.
Mr Standaert is also a member of the board of Synductis.
Mr Standaert holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ghent.
Renaud Tilmans - Chief Customer Operations Officer
Renaud Tilmans joined the Executive Committee as Chief Customer Operations Officer of Proximus in May 2014. In this capacity, Mr Tilmans works with his teams to align procedures and create synergies between the operational after-sales activities of the different Business Units.
He joined the Belgacom Group in 1993 and occupied different Director posts in the ICT and network fields before becoming Vice President Customer Operations of the Service Delivery Engine & Wholesale Business Unit in 2012.
Mr Tilmans holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and has degrees in Applied Sciences (IT) and in Management.
Bart Van Den Meersche - Chief Enterprise Market Officer
Bart Van Den Meersche is the Chief Enterprise Market Officer of Proximus.
Mr Van Den Meersche joined Belgacom in 2011 after 28 years of experience in the ICT Sector through a professional career with IBM, of which 16 years in different Management positions and 7 years as Country General Manager of IBM Belgium/Luxembourg. In his last year at IBM, he was Vice President Industries & Business Development IBM South-West Europe and a member of the IBM South-West Europe Executive Management Team.
Mr Van Den Meersche was during 6 years President of Agoria ICT and also member of the Board of Agoria, VOKA and VBO/FEB.
Mr Van Den Meersche holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Leuven.
Phillip Vandervoort - Chief Consumer Market Officer
On 1 April 2014, Phillip Vandervoort joined Proximus as Chief Consumer Market Officer.
Mr Vandervoort has worked in several important companies, such as Dupont de Nemours International, Union Minière, Interbrew/Inbev, and joined the Microsoft Corporation in 2007.
As General Manager of Microsoft Belgium and Luxembourg, in 2010 he became Partner and General Manager Business Strategy, Marketing & Operations Microsoft for Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
Mr Vandervoort is an industrial engineer and has a degree in business administration of Stanford.
