Proximus gives a new orientation to its sponsoring strategy to reflect the evolution of its brand positioning

Proximus has decided not to extend the expiring sponsoring contracts as main partner of RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge and RCS Charleroi.

After years of intense and positive collaboration with all three clubs, Proximus believes it is time for a step change in its sponsoring strategy. In a strongly evolving sports media landscape, Proximus intends to explore new and innovative partnerships, reaching out to new generations of sports fans and building strong digital ecosystems, in line with its brand promise “Think Possible”.

Over the past 28 years, Proximus was in the first row, together with the fans, to witness many highlights in the history of the clubs. This includes 15 titles and 3 cups shared between RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge, as well as the steady rise of RCS Charleroi to become one of the top teams in Belgium.

Proximus is particularly proud to have contributed, throughout this period, to the success of the individual clubs and of Belgian football as a whole. The company remains committed to conclude the collaboration in full respect of the long-term partnership relation it has with the clubs.

Proximus wishes RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge, RCS Charleroi and all their fans the best for the future.

Proximus wants to stay an important partner of Belgian football and be a partner to all football fans. This is also the reason why Proximus supports the Red Devils and amateur football via its collaboration with the Royal Belgian Football Association.
