Proximus and Huawei reconfirm their strategic innovation partnership to further enhance the customer experience
Dominique Leroy, CEO of Proximus and Alex Zhang, board member and Senior Vice-President of Huawei, sign strategic partnership during the Visit of H.E. Prime Minister Charles Michel to the People’s Republic of China.
Beijing, 31 October 2016 – Today Proximus and Huawei reconfirmed their strategic partnership during the visit of Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel to China. Since January 2015 Proximus and Huawei embarked on a partnership around innovation that led to strong foundations and a number of valuable achievements, such as the creation of Belgium’s best mobile network with consistent best in market experience, and the demonstration of the first steps towards 4.5G with 1Gbps on mobile.
This renewed business partnership will focus on 5 strategic area’s of innovation that matter to the customer: Mobile Experience Leadership; Next-generation Video experience; Telco Cloud & Data Center based business transformation; creation of the new network ecosystem needed for 5G and a closer collaboration in mobile device business.
