Proximus acquires Umbrio and strengthens its position in the growing IT & network operations and analytics market

Turning machine data into valuable insights

Supporting enterprise customers in their digital transformation journey is the cornerstone of Proximus' strategy. With IT environments of companies getting increasingly complex, a clear understanding of what is happening across IT silos is needed, including data from customer’s devices, websites, applications, servers, cloud infrastructure, networks, and IoT assets. By monitoring and analysing everything from customer clickstreams and transactions to network activity and call records, Umbrio turns machine data into valuable business insights.

The acquisition of Umbrio is in line with Proximus’ Fit for Growth strategy and the ambition to invest in key strategic domains, enabling Proximus to become a Digital Service Provider for its enterprise customers. Umbrio’s ability to implement end-to-end monitoring of IT environments is highly complementary to Proximus’ established leadership in network connectivity, IT and managed services. Furthermore, Umbrio’s services also fit nicely alongside those of Davinsi Labs (acquired by Proximus last year) which is a Splunk Elite partner in the security domain. Together they can answer today’s growing demand for end-to-end visibility on security, IT & network operations.
