Proximus boosts speeds and data across multiple mobile plans
Always attentive to its customers and their evolving needs, Proximus is once again adapting its mobile offering to meet growing demand for connectivity. Starting October 1, several mobile plans will be upgraded to offer more data, faster 5G speeds, or both. Both consumers and the self-employed - new and existing - will be upgraded automatically, with no action required.
Customers are more reliant than ever on mobile connectivity. Their expectations are clear: they want to stay connected at all times, stream high-quality videos, share content on social media and work on the move. And of course, they also want to access mobile data smoothly, quickly, and reliably — anytime, anywhere.
The BIPT confirms this trend in its latest statistical report, which was published in July. It shows that average monthly mobile data consumption per residential user has more than tripled over the past five years, rising from 3 GB in 2019 to 10.1 GB in 2024. Meanwhile, the number of SIM cards used for mobile data has increased by 15% over the same period.
Proximus remains attentive to this structural shift and is once again adjusting its offering to meet evolving mobile usage. Several plans will be upgraded as of 1 October. In practice, this means not only more data but also faster 5G speeds, all at no extra cost. This new boost comes in addition to the mobile data increase introduced last April. Proximus thereby reaffirms its commitment to delivering an unrivaled premium experience on its mobile network for consumers, the self-employed and small businesses.
Data and surfing speeds: What's changing on 1 October?
For consumers
- Mobile Easy (€19.99/month VAT incl.) will be upgraded from 200 Mbps to 250 Mbps surfing speed.
- Mobile Smart (€24.99/month VAT incl.) will now include 60 GB of data per month instead of 50 GB and will be upgraded from 200 Mbps to 500 Mbps surfing speed.
- Mobile Maxi (€29.99/month VAT incl.) will now include 120 GB of data per month instead of 100 GB.
The Mobile Essential and Mobile Unlimited plans will remain unchanged.
When included in a pack, the maximum surfing speed of the Mobile Flex+ Easy plan (€15/month VAT incl.) will be upgraded from 200 Mbps to 500 Mbps browsing speed, while the Mobile Flex+ Maxi plan (€26/month VAT incl.) will see its speed increase from 500 Mbps to 750 Mbps.
For the self-employed and small businesses
- Business Mobile Smart (€23/month excl. VAT) will now include 70 GB of data instead of 60 GB and will be upgraded from 250 Mbps to 500 Mbps browsing speed.
- Business Mobile Comfort (€33/month excl. VAT) will now include 170 GB of data instead of 150 GB.
The Business Mobile Essential, Maxi and International plans will remain unchanged.
When included in a pack, the Business Mobile Flex+ Easy plan (€14/month excl. VAT) will be upgraded from 200 Mbps to 500 Mbps browsing speed, while the Business Mobile Flex+ Maxi plan (€24/month excl. VAT) will increase from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps.
