Proximus offers customers the possibility of also enjoying the significantly reduced roaming rates in top destinations outside Europe (a.o. USA and Canada)

In addition, Proximus is launching Travel Passport Credit, for employees of Proximus customers

On 30 April, roaming rates were significantly lowered: calling, texting and mobile surfing in the 27 Member States of the European Union (+ Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein)rates have become up to 70% cheaper for customers with a subscription (see the press release of 19 April).

Proximus continues to enhance its offer, this time with the following novelties:

Extension of the EU roaming options with top destinations: now roaming is possible in 73 countries at the same price as in the EU

Customers wanting to enjoy attractive roaming rates have until now had to opt for monthly roaming options that applied within the European Union. On 1 June, Proximus considerably extended the number of countries for which these roaming options are available, without changing the rates. Customers now have these options in 73 countries, including top destinations such as Canada, the United States, Turkey, Morocco and Indonesia.

Travel Passport Credit: prepaid roaming for employees of professional Proximus customers

More than 7 out of 10 employees have a company smartphone with a subscription. However, often they must pay for the costs they incur when they call, text or surf abroad. To enable them to use their smartphone with company sim card abroad without any worries, Proximus is launching Travel Passport Credit, a new service for business subscriptions without a roaming option or Proximus Pack.

The way it works couldn't be simpler: the employer creates a prepaid account for private use via MyProximus or the customer’s service, and after that the employee automatically receives a text message with a link to Reload Online. Through this online app, Travel Passport Credit users can determine the amount they want to spend on roaming. They can pay this amount with a credit card or via PayPal. This way, employees manage their roaming budget themselves. Until September 30, every new Travel Passport Credit user also receives an introductory amount of 5 euro as a gift.

Topping up credit online

All users can easily top up their roaming credit online via MyProximus, even when they are abroad. What's more, they can check any time how much credit they still have left via #121#. Their budget remains available for 12 months and their balance is extended by one year with each new top-up.

Accessible anytime, anywhere

In other words, it's a win-win situation: the employer is not charged any extra costs for its employees' roaming use, and the employees can use their smartphone with company sim card abroad wherever, whenever and however they want, at significantly reduced rates. This way, they also remain contactable privately.
