Antonietta Mastroianni, Digital & IT Lead, has decided to leave Proximus Group for a new international opportunity
Proximus Group announces that Antonietta Mastroianni, Digital & IT Lead, has decided to take a new turn in her career, taking up a new international CIO role as of January 2026.
Antonietta joined the Proximus Group in April 2021. Previously, she was Group CIO and CDIO at the Danish TDC, Head of IT and Business Partner at Sunrise in Switzerland, and she had several roles at Swisscom and at "3" Italy.
Together with her team, she played a key role in shaping the next chapter of Digital & IT transformation in the Proximus Group bold2025 strategy.
She was the driving force in the transformation towards IT modernization and simplification, enabling Proximus to innovate for customers and society in an efficient way and operate like a truly digital native company.
Antonietta's ambition has always been to create strong partnerships and provide digital & IT solutions that truly meet customer needs, while continuing to innovate in domains like Cloud, Data, Cybersecurity, AI, and softwarisation.
Antonietta will leave the company at the end of November. To ensure a smooth transition, Jeroen Verbruggen, currently senior manager within the department, will assume her position on an ad interim basis as of November 1st.

Together with the Board and my colleagues from the Proximus Leadership Squad, I would like to thank Antonietta for her major contribution to the important digital transformation of Proximus Group and her unwavering efforts, together with her team, to modernize the IT environment over the last four years. We wish her all the best in the next exciting chapter of her international career. I would also like to thank Jeroen Verbruggen for having accepted to step up to assure a smooth handover and assume the role of Digital & IT Lead ad interim as of November 1st.
