Proximus welcomes Fiona Lam as new Group CFO
Proximus announces the appointment of Fiona Lam as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Group. In her new role, Ms. Lam will champion the realization of the financial ambitions in the Domestic and Global segments and support the business in achieving its strategic goals in a responsible and future-proof manner.
Ms. Lam holds a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Guelph (Canada), an MBA specialized in Finance from the University of Greenwich (United Kingdom) and an Executive Master of Finance and Controlling from the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands). She speaks fluent English, Dutch, Mandarin and Cantonese.
She has over 20 years of international experience in finance, audit & risk management. Ms. Lam started her career at Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong and after having spent an important part of her career in various financial executive positions at Philips Lighting, she became CFO at Punch Powertrain in 2017 and at Neways Electronics International in 2022. She currently works as CFO and member of the executive committee of Agfa-Gevaert Group, a position she has occupied since 2024.
Ms. Lam will join the Proximus Group on September 1st. Until then, Nicolas Gaertner will continue to take the role of CFO ad interim, ensuring a smooth transition.
