Reliable and secure mobile connectivity
Proximus stands for more than mobile connectivity alone. The company delivers a high-quality, stable and secure digital experience, powered by the most advanced technologies. For instance, Proximus continues to invest in Belgium's fastest 5G network, aiming for broad and consistent coverage for all its customers. Today, Proximus reaches 92% of the Belgian population with its 5G connectivity, with rollout ongoing to achieve near full nationwide coverage by the end of 2026. Proximus is also the first telecom operator in Belgium to announce the commercial launch of 5G+: a new generation of mobile connectivity offering greater stability, a seamless experience for simultaneous use of voice and mobile data, and stronger protection of SIM and identity data.
Peace of mind and online safety are integral to this mobile experience. Notably through Full Control, a free option that automatically blocks unexpected charges so customers cannot exceed their monthly bundle unless they choose to do so.
In addition, a wide range of built-in cybersecurity measures protect them against fraud and phishing. Thanks to SpamShield, an advanced SMS filtering system, fraudulent messages are automatically intercepted. CallShield uses intelligent call filtering to block fraudulent calls, including spoofed calls with falsified numbers and aggressive telemarketing. Last year alone, nearly 12 million fraudulent SMS and MMS messages were blocked, and more than 33 million suspicious calls were automatically stopped.
Mobile connectivity is an essential part of everyday life. With this new data boost, we are giving our customers even greater mobile freedom and high-quality connectivity. Security remains an absolute priority for Proximus. This ensures that residential and business customers alike can continue to stream, work and communicate with peace of mind on Belgium's best network.
