Proximus appoints new members in the Leadership Squad and announces changes in its composition
Proximus today announces some evolutions in the internal governance of its activities in the Benelux and the composition of its senior management team (Proximus Leadership Squad). These changes reflect Proximus' commitment to strengthen its customer focus, its value proposition in the B2B activities and to sharpen its strategic innovation path. Proximus Global activities continue to be led by Seckin Arikan, reporting to the Group CEO Stijn Bijnens.
Before the announcement of the new strategic plan on February 27, the internal organisation and governance will evolve to deliver this new strategy in the most effective way, fostering simplification, efficiency, trust and empowerment.
The key elements of the upcoming changes are:
- The B2B organisation will cover the full portfolio - from telco to IT services - of all enterprise business activities. The team will serve the SME and Proximus NXT (corporations & public markets) segments, encompassing all Proximus' entities across the Benelux. Fabrice De Windt will be responsible for Proximus NXT and report to Renaud Tilmans who will lead this important business as B2B lead, remaining a member of the Leadership Squad.
- As B2C & AI Lead, Jim Casteele will, in addition to his existing responsibilities, oversee the transversal AI transformation program in order to streamline all AI initiatives, strategy and process improvements, to the benefit of the customers.
- Customer satisfaction remains a key strategic focus and ambition. Donatienne Goemans will join the Proximus Leadership Squad as Customer Operations Lead, reflecting the commitment of Proximus to provide an optimal experience to its customers across all segments.
- Jeroen Verbruggen has been appointed as IT Lead and member of the Leadership Squad. Jeroen and his teams will support the business units in engineering best-in-class digital solutions across brands and segments, while further strengthening the security and performance of the company’s critical infrastructure.
- The other members of the Proximus Leadership Squad, for whom the scope and responsibilities remain unchanged, are Ben Appel (Group Corporate Affairs Lead), Nicolas Gaertner (Group Finance Lead a.i.), Geert Standaert (Network Lead, including wholesale activities) and Jan Van Acoleyen (Group Human Capital Lead).
In addition to these changes in the Leadership Squad, Anne-Valérie Heuschen will be appointed as Group Secretary General, reporting to the CEO and supporting the Proximus Group Board. These changes will take effect immediately.
Since I joined Proximus in September, I have met numerous colleagues and learned a lot about our teams and the way we work. I’m convinced Proximus is blessed with great talents and that the foundations are strong. The changes we will implement now are designed to increase the focus on customer operations. Furthermore, our B2B segment will be empowered by a simplified go-to-market while capturing opportunities in key IT domains (e.g. cybersecurity, cloud, etc.).
